Blitzer, Clancy & Company advises Bureau Veritas S.A. on acquisition of Analysts, Inc.

Blitzer, Clancy & Company, a boutique investment-banking firm with offices in New York and Boston, is pleased to announce the acquisition of Analysts, Inc., an oil testing services company, by Bureau Veritas S.A. , a global leader in testing, inspection, and certification.

Analysts Inc, headquartered in Hawthorne, California is an oil testing services company that specializes in oil condition monitoring.  Analysts, Inc. operates four laboratories in the US, and joint venture laboratories in Mexico, Japan and China.  They provide quality testing, expert data analysis and easy-to-follow maintenance recommendations to a variety of industries, including production machinery, manufacturing equipment, power generation, marine, heavy construction, mining, trucking, transit and aircraft industries.

Bureau Veritas is a world leader in laboratory testing, inspection and certification services. Created in 1828, the Group has more than 65,000 employees in around 1,330 offices and laboratories located in 140 countries. Blitzer, Clancy & Company, a boutique investment-banking firm with offices in New York and Boston, is pleased to announce the sale of AMPTEK, Inc., a portfolio company of Bolder Capital, to AMETEK, Inc., a NYSE traded industrial company.

Amptek headquartered in Bedford, Massachusetts is a high-technology company that manufactures x-ray detectors that identify the composition of a variety of materials.  Amptek’s x-ray detectors are typically used in lab instrumentation, nuclear and spaceflight applications, and homeland security applications.  AMPTEK generates approximately $30 million in revenue annually.

AMETEK Inc. is a leading global manufacturer of electronic instruments and electromechanical devices with 2013 sales of $3.6 billion.  AMETEK consists of two operating groups: Electronic Instruments and Electromechanical Products.  Electronic Instruments division is the leading manufacturer of advanced monitoring, testing, calibration, and display instruments for process, aerospace, power and industrial markets worldwide. Amptek will become part of the Electronic Instruments group, which generates over $2.0 Billion in revenue every year.
